These are called everlasting hydrangeas. I already have the blue on on the right – it’s quite large – and on the side yard by the kitchen porch. I bought the pink one because, well, just because. I put it down in the left side yard in the big area that is wasted space, trying to make some areas of interest. There are so many trees and roots here, the way you get it in – it pick your spot – TRY to dig a hole, if you can’t, at least rough up the dirt as well as possible, take 2 bags of dirt, make your mound and then plant the bushes. This raises the little bed a bit, at least by 10 inches which is more than enough for the roots to spread – and has the years go on – the roots will eventually make their way through that hard dirt. It’s the best I can do.
